SCORE comes to an end: A look back at our final event

On 17 June 2025, the SCORE project held its final event, titled “Innovative Solutions for Climate Change Adaptation in Coastal Areas: When Green and Digital Tools Meet Living Labs”. It was organised as a side event of the ECCA 2025 conference, Europe’s leading forum on climate change adaptation, held in Rimini, Italy.

This event marked a wonderful opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the results of four years of collaborative work, bringing together project partners, Coastal City Living Labs, and external stakeholders.

During this 2-hour event, divided into two sessions, we highlighted the legacy of the CCLLs, showcasing how the project has contributed to empowering local communities, improving knowledge-sharing, and fostering collaborative solutions for coastal resilience. The event also focused on the evaluation of nature-based solutions and the integration of digital tools to better anticipate and manage climate risks in coastal cities.

  • Session 1: Co-Creation & Living Labs – Rethinking Climate Adaptation (download pdf)
  • Session 2:  Data-Driven and Nature-Based Adaptation – Tools for Today and Tomorrow (download pdf)

A key part of the final event was the opportunity for each CCLL representative to present their achievements, offering valuable feedback on the practical solutions implemented, the local partnerships developed, and the technical implementation of co-created solutions within their cities. These presentations provided a rich overview of both the successes and challenges faced on the ground, offering valuable lessons for future projects.

It was an inspiring and forward-looking moment to share lessons learned, acknowledge the project’s key outcomes, and discuss ways to continue this collective effort beyond the project’s lifetime.

We would like to warmly thank all participants for their presence, engagement, and insightful contributions throughout the event. And a special thank you to all SCORE partners for their incredible dedication and teamwork, which made this final gathering, and the entire project, a true success!
