SCORE participated in the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels on October 7-10, 2024!
SCORE partners from ERRIN Innovation, Euronovia and ATU Sligo ran a stand during the whole week showcase main challenges and solutions developed by our CCLLs to tackle climate change, as well as tools developed to enhance citizen engagement (catalogue of low-cost sensors), improve climate monitoring and projections (digital twin) and facilitate knowledge sharing (co-creation toolkit).Â
We also organised a panel session on “Empowering Communities: Smart Tech & Citizen Science for Sustainable Futures” on Thursday, October 10, with different SCORE partners experts from ATU Sligo, MBI srl and the City Council of Vilanova i la GeltrĂş representing the quadruple helix (citizens, policymakers, academia and private organisations). They discussed how people with affordable smart tech can collaborate with various stakeholders to tackle local challenges like sustainable cities and greening initiatives. They also explored citizen science and digital tools, showcasing communities’ contributions to regional development goals for climate-resilient regions.
The European Week of Regions and Cities has ended, we would like to address a huge thank you to everyone who attended the session and visited us at the SCORE booth over these 3 days. It was a pleasure highlighting the SCORE project for you!
